This year, the winner will be able to choose between a paid internship at Braun or 10,000 Euro in cash. What will you do if a team wins?
We encourage interdisciplinary teams - for the simple reason that we are convinced of the success of this approach at Braun. Each team has to appoint a representative who is our contact with them. If a team wins, all the members receive a certificate. It's then up to the team to agree what happens next, whether they share the money between them or whether one member of the team can take up the internship at Braun. But who knows how it will shape up? I'm certainly open to people's ideas.

What other aspects of the Braun Prize have changed?
The entries, their content, the outlook of the jurors - all these things change over the course of the years. We would like people to really understand the projects which are presented - hence the current topic "Dream real products" - products which enhance everyday life. It allows us to raise the credibility of the BraunPrize as a competition organized by Braun. People are more likely to accept us judging everyday products than if we were passing judgement on harvesting machines. That's just not us.

Moreover we promote the BraunPrize via a special website www.braunprize.com. This has proven a very successful way of communication, widely accepted by the design students all over the world.

Thank you for this interview, Mr. Schneider.
