The Countdown of the BraunPrize starts
The BraunPrize launched successfully in March 2008. The countdown begins already for many, as countless design graduates from around the world have already submitted their stunning product concepts to Braun's design 17th competiton "BraunPrize 2009 - Envision Conscious Design". With many more submissions still expected, it will ensure that BraunPrize 2009 will be the most fiercely competitive yet.
Aspiring industrial designers have until the
31st January, 2009 (deadline)
to submit their product concepts to Braun in form of sketches, photographs, technical drawings and a project description. All documents can be uploaded directly to the BraunPrize server or entered by mail/courier.

June 8 - 10, 2009 in the city hall in Kronberg The basis of the assessment in this session is the design model and further material.

Interview with Donn Koh (BP-Winner 2007)
By entering the highly regarded BraunPrize, designers are giving themselves the opportunity to start their caeers with a bang. The BraunPize's eventual winner, who will be revealed at the lavish September 16th ceremony in Kronberg, Germany, will be earmarked as a design rising star of the future. We asked Donn Koh who is BraunPrize winner 2007 some questions how the winning of the BraunPrize influenced his professional career . . .

The BraunPrize helps to develop young careers
The BraunPrize doesn't just offer a new generation of design talents an unparralelled showcase for their work, it also provides financial bursaries to help launch and develop young careers. The total prize money gifted through the competition is € 36.000, with the overall winner of the BraunPrize receiving € 12.000 and a six-month paid internship within the Braun design department. The remaining money is then bestowed to the other BraunPrize finalists (each € 5.000) with the rest being distributed in the form of special recognition awards at the discretion of the jury.
