  BraunPrize 1974
Awarded for the fourth time in 1974, the BraunPrize for Technical Design saw three runners-up receive a prize of DM 5,000 each while the overall winner picked up the DM 6,800 top prize. The winning entries were the microfilm reader by Wolfgang Fabian (Ulm/Mannheim), the outboard motor by John Edward Grainger (London), the filing/sawing system by Ming Leung and Nicholas Leon (London) and a small band-saw by Jörg Spiecker, Hagen/Dortmund.

The jury also selected four projects for a special mention and an award of DM 800 each.
